I was listening to the Lyme Ninja Radio podcast episode #178 with Lyn Delmastro Thompson. The topic was BodyTalk. I'd never heard of BodyTalk before, but it's a healing modality that helps people learn to listen to what their body is telling them. During the episode the host, Mackay Rippey said, "A symptom can be an alarm from our body, mind, and spirit calling out to be attended to." This has been true for me in my life and I imagine in others' lives as well.
I love the idea of it not just being our body that calls out, but also our mind and spirit. The body remembers things long after the mind has forgotten, and a symptom can be a reminder that we need to attend to something we thought we'd let go, but didn't let go fully.
