Healing Words is an ongoing series with the intention of shifting focus away from suffering and onto healing. Please feel free to share words that have helped you heal or your thoughts on these healing words. Memorial day is about honoring veterans and those who died in military service. It is also a federal holiday and the unofficial first day of summer. Friends and family often gather for cook outs and outdoor activities. Things will be different this year because of COVID-19. There will be no parades, no ceremonies. Maybe it will also be a day to mourn the nearly 100,000 Americans who have lost their lives to the virus. Our hearts are heavy. It's raining hard in Seattle today. The universe saying, "You wouldn't have been outside anyway." A day instead to pause and reflect, which, I suppose, was the purpose of Memorial Day from the start.  Today's words are by unknown.
