Life doesn't happen to us—we create it by what we choose to see. Do you choose to see the negative or do you search for small wonders every day? If this is challenging for you, you may consider starting a gratitude practice. At the end of the day write down 3 things you are grateful for. If it seems too simple to work, remember the simplest things are often the only things that do.
Today's words are by Barbara Kingsolver from Small Wonder: Essays.
Healing Words is an ongoing series with the intention of once a day shifting focus away from suffering and onto healing. Healing is a daily practice of listening to your inner voice and turning pain into purpose.
Please feel free to share words that have helped you heal or your thoughts on these healing words.
