Happy Easter to those who celebrate. To me, Easter means new life. It arrives at the time of year when flowers are blooming and the sun makes an appearance nearly every day. Greens and blues cover the landscape and anything seems possible. New life is different this year. The flowers are still blooming, but other things are put on hold. This is the time of year when we would sit on a patio on Alki Beach and enjoy food and drink while taking in the Sound and the still snow-capped mountains. But that will have to wait a while. Instead I will soak up the new life of longer walks, more time in the backyard, pictures of bunnies and eggs in the neighbors’ windows, flowers everywhere in Seattle, and quiet renewal. Today's words are by S.D. Gordon. Healing Words is an ongoing series with the intention of shifting focus away from suffering and onto healing. Please feel free to share words that have helped you heal or your thoughts on these healing words.
