Today is Mother's Day, which is a celebration of mothers everywhere. It's important to acknowledge that this day is difficult for some. This poem by Hafiz reminds me of how mothers love their children. Even after all they do, mothers rarely say, 'you owe me.' That's what makes a mother's love so special—it is given without condition or expectation. Today's words are from the poet, Hafiz. Healing Words is an ongoing series with the intention of once a day shifting focus away from suffering and onto healing. Healing is a daily practice of listening to your inner voice and turning pain into purpose. Please feel free to share words that have helped you heal or your thoughts on these healing words.
