On this Memorial Day, it's important to remember the rights and responsibilities we have because of those who gave or risked their lives to defend them. With all the injustice in the world it can be overwhelming and exhausting to figure out where to put your energy. This quote from Glennon Doyle is a good jumping off point. Ask yourself what breaks your heart? Most likely it's many things, but what's the thing that gnaws at you, that makes you the most angry, the thing that you cannot stay silent about. The energy behind your passion will fuel the change you wish to bring about in the world.
Today's words are by Glennon Doyle, author of Love Warrior: A Memoir.
Healing Words is an ongoing series with the intention of once a day shifting focus away from suffering and onto healing. Healing is a daily practice of listening to your inner voice and turning pain into purpose.
Please feel free to share words that have helped you heal or your thoughts on these healing words.
