If life were predictable or "fair," it wouldn't be a great mystery. What do you do when things don't work out? What do you do when you have to let go and move on? You find acceptance. As Cheryl Strayed puts it, "Acceptance is a small, quiet room." What does she mean by that? I think she means there is loneliness in that room...but also peace. Today's words by Cheryl Strayed from Tiny Beautiful Things: Advice on Love and Life from Dear Sugar. Healing Words is an ongoing series with the intention of once a day shifting focus away from suffering and onto healing. Healing is a daily practice of listening to your inner voice and turning pain into purpose. Please feel free to share words that have helped you heal or your thoughts on these healing words.
