Happy Father's Day to all the many versions of fathers and dads. This quote reminded me of my dad, who didn't give any fatherly lectures (with the exception of saving money and what qualifies as good music), but provided me with an example of how to live—work hard and then enjoy the fruits of your labor.

Healing Words is an ongoing series with the intention of once a day shifting focus away from suffering and onto healing. Healing is a daily practice of listening to your inner voice and turning pain into purpose.
Please feel free to share words that have helped you heal or your thoughts on these healing words.
