I love the image of the monkey bars as a metaphor for moving forward. You can stay where you are by gripping tightly to the bars, or you can let go and trust that the next bar is within your grasp. Each time you let go a little more, you take another step forward. There are some things we don't have control over and if we can learn to take small, faithful steps we will eventually get to a new normal.
