During my sophomore year in college I randomly lost my singing voice. I was in the concert choir and when I opened my mouth nothing came out. This is just one of the many strange symptoms I had over the years that I never knew were related to Lyme disease. When I got a diagnosis in 2016 things started to make sense. Singer, Shania Twain, had a similar experience which she later attributed to Lyme.
This post was cathartic for me to write for the, because it helped me process all the health issues I had over the years. We all have different stories, but most of us can relate to years of seemingly unrelated symptoms eventually leading to a Lyme diagnosis.
