I go through periods of missing my life before Lyme and being grateful for all that Lyme has taught me. I wrote this post at the beginning of summer when it seemed like everyone in Chicago was enjoying the outdoors, sipping wine on patios and hiking in the woods. These seemingly normal activities aren't a part of my life anymore, and I have to admit I miss it.

I wrote this essay about the mysterious energy vortexes in Sedona, Arizona a year ago and it found a home at Sonderers Magazine. I had only recently been diagnosed with Lyme disease when my husband and I traveled to Arizona and it was a very healing experience.
